Abstract

Out of the rich collection of designs at the Institute for History and Theory of Architecture, T.U.B., - legacy of earlier Departments of History of Architecture a few designs of outstanding importance have subsisted for the posterity. They actually undergo processing, and the results will be successively published. This first report bas been concerned with designs by Imre Steindl submitted in 1872 to the first competition for "A Parliament Building for the German Reichstag in Berlin". Report on the arise of these designs will be completed by pointing out relations to the designs of the subsequently constructed Parliament of Budapest.
