ZUR ALGEBRAISCHEN THEORIE DER STÖCHIOMETRIE CHEMISCHER REAKTIONSSYSTEME
Abstract
By the methods of linear algebra, the concepts of atoms, species, reactions and mech- anisms, as used in stoichiometry, are defined, as weil as theorems regarding them are proven. In particular, the possible reactions among given species and the possible mech- anisms among given reactions are determined. The dependence of reactions on the time is also consideredj concepts such as extent, rate, and invariants of reaction are discussed from an algebraic point of view.
