Abstract
Physico-chemical characteristics and NH4+ Cs+ ion exchange properties of Hungarian mordenite and clinoptilolite tuffs have been determined. Both ion exchanger exhibited the following selectivity order: Cs+>NH4+>K+>Na+. The ion exchange rate controlling mechanism for both zeolites was micropore diffusion.
