Abstract

In order to show the effect of amorphous, inorganic constituents amorphous aluminium silicate hydrates have been prepared by different methods. The amorphous particles have been added to different clay minerals and it has been established that the liquid limit and plasticity index of ilIite and kaolinite are increased, whereas those of bentonite is decreased bv the aluminium silicate added.
