Abstract

Planning geodetic works for the assembly of steel structures. Up-to-date geodetic facilities and the applied geodetic technology have a great significance and economical impact for the design and assembly of steel structures, imposing to outline the role of geodetic work in design, and the design tasks of the gedesist. Recently, the Institute of Geodesy of the Technical University, Budapest undertook geodetic works for some important constructions with steel structure, observations made in, and publications are relied on in analyzing geodetic tasks and duties of the geodesist in assembling steel structures, illustrated on the example of a geodetic assembly control undertaken by this Institute.
