Abstract

Coefficient of permeability (k) values can be determined using a variety of on-site and laboratory methods. Indirect inference from the grading curve is a standard method used to determine the k factor of fine granular soil types \cite 12, 13. However, measurements and calculations may introduce inaccuracies in several ways - for instance, by ignoring the coefficient of irregularity.
