Abstract

Nowadays vibrating alert is a common feature of cellular phones. For this purpose a radial flux linear-motor with air-gap solenoid was developed, which operates in the vicinity of its natural frequency. This paper presents the amplification diagram of the mechanical model of this new construction obtained both numerically and analytically. Furthermore, the results are compared to measurement data which are showing nonlinear dynamical behaviour.
