Abstract
To increase the handling convenience parallel to the improvement of economic operation at vehicles with automatic gearboxes the task is to control the clutch so to fulfil both requirements. To solve this problem the operation of clutch is controlled by computer on board. It is possible to optimize its soft-ware programme by simulation of real operational con- ditions. The simulation makes possible to take into consideration both the road and the fieId conditions as weil. On the basis of principles summed up in this paper a simulation programme can be prepared suitable to determine the optimal operation of the clutch and any faulty operation of it can be eliminated. To support the theoretical statements of the paper operation of clutch determined by measurements and by calculations are presented as well.
