Abstract

The purpose of the computer programme introduced in this article is to compute the various types of stress on the weaving machine in the period of weft beat up: the yarn tensile stress, the resistance to weft beat up and the fabric tensile stress. The programme is fit for determining the structural co-efficient (this is connected with the weaveability), the movement of fabric edge and the warp and fabric elongation, depending on machine setting parameters, i.e., breaking angle of the basis level, the yarn basic stress and the density index. The programme operates with the non-linear elastic material characteristics of the warp threads and of the fabric, the origin of which is their visco-elastic feature. They can be only determined by measuring, just like the structural co-efficient, the density index of the fabric and the relation called steepness relationship. The functions describing the elastic features and steepness can be given by the progra.mme as regression functions after processing the measurement data.
