Abstract

This paper presents an application of a discrete function class, i.e. the monotone s- coherent discrete functions and an extending concept [6] for the use of binary variables in muitistate system investigation. Two propositions are proven for the purpose of the generalization procedure. Some illustrative examples are shown which prove that its application is simple and very suitable for the calculation of multistate system reliability.
