Abstract

One letter of Theodor Kármán, who was at that time assistant at the Technical University Budapest, is published. He wrote the letter in 1906 to Professor L. Prandtl in Göttingen where he wanted to go for a study tour with a scholarship. In this letter he outlines his researches till then concerning the stability of elastic equilibrium.
