Abstract

This paper deals with the Hungarian economy on the basis of selected characteristic features connected to the EU accession conditions. In most cases there are no exact criteria which have to be fulfilled. Therefore the difference between the real performance and the expected level cannot be rneasured. The statistical analysis can concentrate on similarity of EU (and OECD) members and new applicants. The structural similarity, the closeness in statistical sense can prove the economic success or failure.
