DIE VERSCHIEDENEN MÖGLICHKEITEN DER KLIMATISIERUNG VON AUTOBUSSEN UNTER NUTZUNG DER ABGASWÄRMEENERGIE
Abstract
The reduction of energy consumption of motor buses is an important problem to be solved. The air-conditioning of buses requires relatively much energy. The solution to the problem of air-conditioning with the use of exhaust gases cuts down considerably the energy consumption of buses. In this paper, the possibility of the air-conditioning of buses with the help of exhaust gas energy is examined. The application of the turbo-air radiator seems to be a good solution to the problem. The construction of the turbo-air radiator is a simple one, its total volume and total mass is favourable, however, its energy consumption is relatively high. The utilization of the exhaust-gas energy contributes to a large extent to the reduction of this disadvantage. The exhaust-gas energy can be used for the operation of absorption refrigerators, as well. These refrigerators are relatively simple, practically they have no moving parts, but they are always very bulky. According to our examinations, the absorption refrigerators working on the pair of agents NH3-H20 are the most suitable for the air-conditioning of buses. The absorption refrigerator for buses working with the help of exhaust-gas energy is fully serviceable, nevertheless its total volume and total mass is so large that its application is not a timely solution today.
