Abstract

Investigation was conducted into the problem of wear and corrosion effect of a carbon- hydrogen fluid stream containing 0.0005 wt. % solid particles (wt. % = weight percent ). The apparatus, specimens and the methods of investigation are presented in this paper. We measured and interpreted the effect of the speed of fluid stream and the impact angle of solid particles, furthermore the influence of steel quality. lt was proved that the measured results of wear and corrosion have given repro- ducible values.
