Abstract

The paper discusses the modelling possibilities of stability for certain transportation systems (where the instability is defined by traffic-jam states) using the classical Ljapunov approach and modern methods of linear stability theory. The introduced and specialised model can be applied for forecasting of the expected "traffic-jam" in railways networks.
