Abstract

The modal analysis can only be applied for the analysis of linear systems with constant co- efficients. Several objects could be practically described by a linear multidegree of freedom mechanical system if there would nor. be present local, frequently strong nonlinearities. Is it possible to describe the system in the reduced modal subspace if it contains nonlinear elements and if yes how is it?
