Abstract

This paper treats a) the s.c. 'capacity" and 'alternate' fractal dirnension (fr.dim.], b) together with numerous illustrating examples of geometry, nature and modern arts, c.basin boundaries being often fr.dim. d) finally recent 'control algorithms' for reducing chaotic motions into periodic ones.
