Abstract

This study surveys theoretical аnd experimental investigations into the operation-conditions of the fuel-injection-system of the Diesel engine D100, which is the most spread type of the raiIway Diesel engines in the U.S.S.R. Author dеаls with the influences оf the high fuel temperature аnd the injection-angle upon the cycle. Experiments show that increase in the fuel-temperature is Iimited bу the value оf 473 °К. If the temperature оf the fuеI ехсееds, this limit, the fuel-injection-system is to bе mоdifiеd. Minimization оf the fuel-injection-time imрroves the economic merit of the engine. The article contains actual rесоmmеndаtiоns for the Diesel-engine аn question.
